Appreciate app gives users a way to manage their luxury collection, by getting coverage, tracking resale value, and opening up more possibilities of new ownership we would like to provide. For users to see the possibilities, we want users to start using the app by uploading their first luxury item, possibly with a receipt of an item.

 

Launch screen

We want to inform users what they can do with our app, and how they can learn more about this new app. We assume that first-time users don't have much knowledge about what are the benefits we can bring to them.

Goal

Highlight some of the key features on the launch screen, giving users the benefit of signing up with Appreciate account. 

Product Requirements

Provide users with a way to skip walk-throughs of benefits in order to get started to sign up.

Log-in needs to be visible on every screen for returning users.  

 

Onboarding

The onboarding experience is the users’ first stop when they log into the app. It will be a starting point to use the app by giving users different ways to upload their first item.

Challenges

Since it is the user's first time adding an item to our platform, we want to give all the possible options to add an item to their wallet.

Options are

Receipt - Upload a picture of a receipt or forward an e-receipt from the brands

Photo - Upload a photo of an item

List item - Add brand name and product name

Providing all the options at once might be overwhelming for the users, so we want to make the experience more conversational with simple selections step by step.

Upload Receipt

Upload complete & walkthroughs

Once user successfully submits the receipt, we send a confirmation email that we received it. When we successfully verified and add an item card to the user’s wallet, we notify by email.
